Baptism has many significant spiritual applications

It is an outward, public expression of your inward commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord (Matthew 10:32). It identifies you with Jesus Christ's death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-5). Immersion into the water symbolizes the death and burial of the old life, its behaviors, and sins; the coming out of the water represents resurrection to new life now lived by the power of Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It identifies you as a part of God's family (1 Corinthians 12:13). 

We hold at least two Baptisms each year. These Vineyard family celebrations are held in the sanctuary during the morning service. There is a mandatory class the same morning. You must pre-register at least one week prior to the Baptism. Pastor Mike Safford performs the Baptisms unless you would rather have a parent, friend, mentor, Community Group Leader, etc. facilitate yours.

At the Beach

Location: Huntington State Beach at Brookhurst St.
We have four Berm Ramadas reserved – they are near the end and to the left of the path. Look for the large Vineyard Anaheim sign.  Parking is $15. Space is limited, so carpool if you can.
3pm—Arrive whenever you want & enjoy the beach together.
5pm—Short message and baptism.
6pm—Dinner (Hotdogs, Lemonade & Water provided – Please bring a side to share.)
7pm—S’mores (Provided)
7:30pm—Worship around the fire

What to Bring:

  - A towel
  - Bathing suit or shorts
  - A dark shirt to be baptized in
